6L80 Valve Body

The 6L80 valve body is a crucial component of the 6L80 transmission system found in many GM vehicles.

It is responsible for directing the flow of transmission fluid throughout the transmission and activating the various gears.

The valve body is made up of a series of

• channels 
• valves

that are controlled by solenoids, which are in turn controlled by the transmission's computer.

When the driver shifts gears, the computer sends a signal to the appropriate solenoids,

opens and closes the valves in the valve body to allow the fluid to flow and engage the desired gear.

If the valve body is not functioning properly, it can cause issues with shifting and overall  transmission performance.

Remanufactured valve body GM6L80E has been designed to address common issues, such as: burnt clutches; codes P0751, P0741, P0742; harsh TCC apply; bump, harsh or flare shifts; bind-ups; solenoid performance codes; and wrong gear starts.

to guarantee the highest level of operational performance, this remanufactured 6L80 valve body was tested on state-of-the art equipment to verify that actuator feed limit pressure, clutch pressures, torque converter pressures and compensator feed pressures match OE specification.

A TEHCM is included with the valve body.
